Overview

    Your personal dive guide will join you in the water unless you prefer privacy, but we recommend for safety that you take advantage of their experience and knowledge, and they will also take photos and video of your adventure with our GoPro which you will be able to download for free from our Google Drive.

    Immersed since 1963, the wreck now hosts a rich biodiversity. Abundant coral formations, gorgonian fans, sponges and sea anemones cover the ship. A huge and colorful range of fish have made the USAT Liberty their home, including schools of surgeonfish, scissortail sergeant majors and, in deeper areas, hundreds of sea goldie. Latticed butterflyfish, Klein’s Butterflyfish, Moorish idols. Parrotfish and moon wrasse are also commonly seen on this site. If you are lucky, you may spot a hawksbill turtle munching on coral!

    Another excellent snorkeling spot, The Coral Garden, is located just a couple of hundred meters South of the wreck. We can include a dive at this site if requested.
