Full-Day Tour Discovering Sumo World in Tokyo

Duration

clock8 hours

Overview

On this tour, you will experience some of the most exciting things that my home town of Tokyo has to offer.
First, I will escort you to a sumo "stable" to observe one of the wrestlers' powerful morning training sessions. It's always an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the life and skills of these traditional Japanese atheletes.
We will, then, visit Ryogoku area, the center of sumo wrestling, where Sumo Stadium (Ryogoku Kokugikan) and Sumo Museum and Edo-Noren are.
After lunch, I will take you to Sensoji Temple, one of the oldest temples in Tokyo. It’s an ideal place for taking photographs and buying traditional souvenirs at the stalls lining the “Nakamise” street that leads up to the main entrance.
After walking in the precinct, we will take a waterbus from Asakusa to Hama Rikyu Garden, enjoying some great harbor views of Tokyo along the way.
