Overview

    Our Full Day Horse back wine tour takes us across 6 of South-Africa's most famous wine estates. We ride from our Nursery farm, onto Joostenberg, which is an organic farm. We ride our horses through the vineyards, and across farmland surrounded by tranquility and spectacular views. 

    From there we cross to De Meye, one of South-Africa's oldest wine farms, with a historic old manor house and tasting room. From there we ride to Muldersvlei, and over Klapmuts Kop.  

    We have lunch at a lookout with spectacular  360 degree views of Table mountain, False Bay, Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschoek mountains.  

    After lunch we ride to Arra Wine estate,  Mitre's Edge, where guest will have the opportunity to taste wine. On to Le Bonheur and Warwick, and return back to Pink Geranium nursery via  De Meye where we will stop for another tasting and some refreshments.

What to Expect

    Our Full Day Horse Back Wine tour is the ultimate in blending horse riding, great food and fantastic wine. We ride on approximately 7 different wine farms. The views are breathtaking and the horses are well trained and enthusiastic! We stop for lunch and wine tasting at Boschkloof estate. Boschkloof is a boutique winery, off the regular tourist trail. The tasting room has stunning views over false bay and the rolling hills of the winelands. Lunch consists of a generous platter, including meats, cheeses, olives etc We finish off our tour with another wine tasting at Vredenheim estate (where we end the tour) so guests can make themselves at home in the beautiful gardens. The ride is approximately 22 km and only suitable for experienced riders. A good level of fitness is required. Guests should be comfortable in a trot and a canter. I tend not to mix groups, so we are very adaptable to suite your group’s particular needs.
