    Many resistance fighters and political prisoners were imprisoned at the camp; based on their stories you will gain insight into:

    • the early political opposition and the Nazi's crack-down on democracy
    • how the SS terror expanded, targeting an ever growing groups of people
    • you will see the resistance in a bigger context of the KZ system and understand the mortal danger anyone had to face who opposed the Nazi regime.

    You will be standing in the buildings and cells where famous resistance fighters, such as
    • Pastor Martin Niemöller, founding father of the Confessing Church
    • Georg Elser, the man who almost killed Hitler in 1939
    • Hans von Donhanyi, the spiritual leader of the resistance, were imprisoned.

    During the tour you will hear about unknown assassination attempts and coup d'états, secret messages, bravery and self-sacrifice.
