Go on a stove train to eat "delicious vegetables growing in winter"!

Duration

clock3 hours 30 minutes

Overview

Take the Tsugaru Railway Stove Train to see a family growing Komatsuna, Shuniku and Asparagus in a plastic house in a snowstorm. In the greenhouse, vegetables are made by warming the house with a "wood stove" and "waste oil" used at a nearby lunch center.
Vegetables grown in winter are more surprisingly sweeter. Wrap freshly picked asparagus in aluminum foil, bake on the stove and eat on the spot.
In addition, you can bring freshly picked vegetables to the community cafe "Deru Sore" for cooking (optional).
