    The island of Chrissi is protected by the state as one of the last "heavenly places" on earth. The unique reserve got its name because of the golden sand that covers the whole island and is formed from fragments of small shells.
    A lot of visitors come to the island because of the exceptional natural beauty. The island is uninhabited and there is only one tavern on the island where you can have lunch.
    Enjoy azure crystal clear water and fabulous beaches, check out traces of the Minoan settlement and St.Nicholas church, find a wonderful view of the small island of Micronisi and take your mask to try snorkelling in this great location.
    Moving by bus up to 2,5 hours, boat ride - 60 minutes each way from Ierapetra town.

Enjoy the one-hour cruise from the port of Castelli to the island of Gramvoussa, on the open deck liner from which you can admire the bright natural phenomenon of twelve shades of the sea of the Bay of Balos. After landing on the pirate island of Gramvousa, go to the top of Venetian fortress which was built in 1597 with sweeping views of the Bay. The ascent takes about twenty minutes. Experience Balos Lagoon Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete with beautiful water and soft sand.
