    Stop At: Laguna de Guatavita, Km 15, Via Guatavita-Sesquile, Tierra Negra Colombia

    Take a journey to the birthplace of the legendary “El Dorado” and explore fantasy, history, mysticism and beautiful landscapes. On this tour you will travel north to Guatavita village and its emerald lake. After being collected from your accommodation you'll explore the white-housed village of Guatavita. You'll learn more about the area's unique history and browse handicraft stores in its alleys. Then it's on to potato crop fields and farmers houses until you reach the highest point with the sacred lake hidden among mountains.
    Within this natural reserve where lush vegetation flourishes, feel the mystical energy that made this place so special to Muiscas people. Learn about their connection with nature as well as understand the symbolism behind gold offerings that started Spanish treasure hunters' gold rush. On your way back take in spectacular views of Tominé Dam valley and Cerro de las Tres Viejas before stopping at La Calera town where you can sample delicious cheese and yellow corn arepas.
