Overview

Since we first met, I have been informing you of the generalities of Bogotá; when we depart from the city, however, I will give you details on the nearby valley. I will talk about its original indigenous inhabitants, known as "Muiscas", and their traditions and language. Moreover, I shall explain how this heritage has been incorporated into our current society and cuisine.
We shall get to know a guide from the lake who can tell us about native cultures, including why the Dorado Legend is so popular - and what exactly it stands for. Furthermore, we shall appreciate the mysticism of this place and its energy-filled relationship with nature.
In Guatavita town there are many architectural marvels to behold as well as food items to sample, deserts to savor and handicrafts available for purchase.
