    Overview

In the morning, you will be collected from your hotel in Izmir and driven to Ephesus.

Once we reach Ephesus, this bustling metropolis was once the second largest city in the Roman Empire with a population of over 250.000 people during the 1st century BC. It ranked only behind Rome as being the biggest city in the world at that time and was also a major harbour city, built entirely with marble! Did you know that it also had an amphitheater with 25.000 seats; making it one of the largest amphitheaters in history

The House of Virgin Mary is believed by many to be where Mary, mother of Jesus spent her last years.

The Temple of Artemis (or Diana) is another significant site here; it was dedicated to goddess Artemis and counted amongst one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Another noteworthy location is Isabey Mosque which dates back to 1374 – 1375 and is regarded as one of most impressive pieces of architectural art remaining from Anatolian Beyliks.

At tour's end, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
