Summer hiking in Alaska can inspire any person from a ritual hiker to someone who’s never set foot on a trail before. This walk will have minimal elevation change but will still have minor challenges of some uneven terrain as you will be in Alaska! We have phenomenal access to well maintained trail systems through beautiful boreal forests where we will hope to see a variety of birds and some of the plethora of little creatures that inhabit the ground, trees and sky in the forests surrounding the city!
Along the way we will discuss local flora, fauna, geology, and history of the area. You can enjoy some tea or coffee while you take a moment to enjoy the majestic beauty of our back country and immerse yourself fully in the moment. Bring a camera as we adhere to the "leave no trace" philosophy-take only pictures and memories, leave only footprints; this way, generations to come can continue to enjoy this space just as we have.
