This Colonia City Tour will pick you up from your hotel. Your first stop is the historic quarter of the city, where you will go on a walking tour through the cobblestone streets, seeing the old buildings, remnants of fortifications and Spanish and Portuguese museums, which protect and display the historical heritage listed by UNESCO as a Heritage of Humanity. After this cultural visit, the guided tour will then take you to the modern city centre and port zone, before continuing on to the forest reserve, Fernando Beach and the beautiful
waterfront avenue, where you can appreciate the views of the Rio de la
Plata. From this point, you will continue to the Real de San Carlos to
see the Plaza de Toros (Bullring), the Frontón de Paleta Vasca (pelota
court – used for a game of hand or racket ball played against a wall), the
Hipódromo (race track) and the old dock. Finally, the shuttle will take you
back to your hotel.
