As you walk down Roosevelt Ave., your tour guide Steve will be describing how Jackson Heights grew from farmland to a real estate and transit hub, becoming a popular destination for immigrants. You will also hear the sounds that define Jackson Heights with the elevated train and the buzz of Latin music coming from the store fronts. We will be eating foods from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Colombia, Uruguay, and Tibet all served in traditional authentic restaurants.
