Handmade Pasta with Zio Alfonso

Overview

Greeting all from Casa Scarica, Alfonso, an amateur cook on the Amalfi Coast, wants to show everyone his passion for food and local specialties. Here at our location, we have cooking lessons and home restaurant evenings where we use only local ingredients such as tomatoes and lemons. Through this experience you will learn how to make authentic Italian handmade pasta with fresh seasonal products. We'll all cook together following my instructions and enjoy three classic traditional dishes: homemade pizza-fresh pasta with tomato sauce & basil; plus a dessert! As a gift I will provide recipes of the three types of pasta. Additionally, we can plan a guided tour of an artisanal pasta factory to see pasta production in action.

What To Expect

. The arrival time at the location is 10,

if we have organized in advance we can visit a pasta factory,

then start our cooking class by kneading pizza and fresh pasta with each participant making their own product.

We will provide detailed instructions on how to knead the dough for the pizza and pasta.

Everything will be cooked together and tasted afterwards, water is provided for lunch as well.

If you get in touch with us a few days prior, we can decide what activities to do together; it's not just about making pasta or pizza but also baking typical Neapolitan cakes or visiting a mozzarella producer.

After lunch we give out recipes, take a group photo and say goodbye.
