For this morning adventure,1st stop - Te Mata Peak. The summit provides stunning 360-degree views across Hawke’s Bay and in the morning, with the sun behind us, we can usually see all the way west to Mt Ruapehu, the North Island’s highest mountain. Bring a camera because the views are incredible!
From the Peak, we head to 2 premium wineries where you’ll taste some of Hawke’s Bay’s finest wines. Between wineries, we’ll take you across the fertile Heretaunga Plain, the district known around the country as ‘The Fruit Bowl of New Zealand’. Picturesque orchard, vineyard and rolling farm country will be our backdrop before we arrive for lunch at one of the region’s finest winery restaurants.
