    Overview

You will not want to miss the chance to visit Herculaneum, a favourite touristic destination of wealthy Romans and the initial archeological site encountered in the Vesuvian area in the XVIII century. It is as if you had a time machine enabling you to wander through the historical buildings of the ancient Roman town that was buried by ashes from Mount Vesuvius's catastrophic eruption in 79 AD. Herculaneum is smaller than Pompeii and can be explored within 1½ hours. Have a look at the Thermal spas of the Forum, the house with its Mosaic Atrium, and more - all with pickup from Naples included!
