    Once the capital of Japan, Kamakura, is located about an hour south of Tokyo by train. This small city will give you very different vibes compared to Tokyo in its peaceful green setting on the coast. Kamakura is often called the little Kyoto of the East. Also considered the cradle of Nichiren Buddhism, which is manifested by the many temples that are found across the city.

    On this walking tour, we will visit a couple of the traditional shops, one of the main shrines of the city and a couple of hidden temples far from the crowds. You will learn how Japanese people practice their religion, and appreciate the traditions together with the green surroundings.
