Overview

    We invite you in a memorable day trip from Brasov to Piatra Craiului, one of the most challenging massifs in Romania. Together with a specialized mountain guide, you will choose one of the available routes that go up to the highest point in Piatra Craiului massif, at 2238 meters.

    In the morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Brasov and drive to Zarnesti, to the starting point. After a short and easy hike through the impressive Zarnesti Gorge, you will reach La Table meadow, an important junction for the routes around here. Continue to the Grind refuge, at 1600 meters and take a well deserved break and admire the surrounding landscape.

    You will then continue on the main ridge until you reach the La Om peak, at 2238 meters. Take amazing photos of the nearby mountains and get back to Grind refuge. From here, your will return to the car and you will be taken back to Brasov.

What to Expect

    Your adventure will begin in the morning, when your guide will collect you from your hotel in Brasov. After a brief drive to Zarnesti, you'll arrive at the starting point. A moderate hike through the breathtaking Zarnesti Gorge will lead you to La Table meadow, a key junction for the area's various routes. From there, you'll continue your ascent until you reach Grind refuge, located at 1600 meters above sea level. Take a moment to rest and appreciate the magnificent scenery that surrounds you.Next, you'll travel along the main ridge until you arrive at La Om peak, the highest point in the massif. From this incredible vantage point, you'll be able to capture stunning photographs of the nearby mountains. Following your exhilarating climb, you'll return to Grind refuge before being driven back to your accommodation in Brasov, where you can reminisce on your unforgettable experience in Piatra Craiului.
