Day 1:
Mount the bikes and off we go towards “La Manuela” a bombed out finca that once belonged to Pablo Escobar. You can still see the double walls where he hid drugs and money and find out about him in a 45-min tour. After we will ride down the plataeu on the autopista, with stops for lunch and spectacular views. After about 4 hours of riding we will get to the infamous Hacienda Nápoles where we will stay the night.
Day 2:
After breakfast its Safari time. On the bikes and lets go check out Escobar’s animal collection including a large population of hippos. Some of them have broken free after Hacienda Napoles was abandoned and now Colombia has a big hippo population. Depending on how much time we will spend here we can head to the waterpark after or to the museums. After lunch we will slowly make our way over dirt and paved roads though eastern Antioquia and back up 1000 m to the lake and Guatapé.
