Historic Boston Crime Tours - North End Tour

Duration

clock1 hour 30 minutes

Overview

Boston’s “Little Italy” isn’t just an Italian neighborhood; it’s the oldest part of the city, going back to its founding in 1630. Our North End tour isn't a mob tour, though. It's a chance to learn about a wide swath of crime that took place here over the centuries. On this tour you’ll hear a range of stories including of a witch in the North End who had a connection to the Salem Witch Trials. You’ll also learn about how a scoundrel (and former resident of the neighborhood) employed by the British government relates to the Boston Massacre. Throughout the 1-mile route, we’ll explore narrow alleys, see the almost 400-year-old North Square, and catch a great view of Boston Harbor.
