Overview

Start by choosing your desired route:

The Greater Simonsberg Route (known to be mainly red wine). The Greater Simonsberg Route predominantly has south-westerly aspects and, because of the altitudes commonly higher than 200m, its generally open to the cool south-westerly summer breezes originating from False Bay, some 25kms away. The wines from this area are mainly red, made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz.

The Helderberg Route (known to be mainly white wine). The Helderberg Route is home to some of the oldest wine farms in South Africa. This area stretches from Somerset West to the edge of Stellenbosch and in this area lies the Golden Triangle, a top wine growing area. The cooling effect of the moisture laden sea breezes from nearly False Bay, combined with the excellent soil structures, form ideal for growing noble varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc.

Or the Stellenbosch Valley Route (the combo route).
