Kayaking & Trekking to Sangara Waterfall & Snorkeling at Barasu Island (APR-OCT)

(1 Reviews )

Duration

clock9 hours

Overview

We take a gentle kayaking adventure for approximately half an hour along the river, which is lined with mangrove trees and wildlife which inhabit the forest. We alight at the base station and then have a gentle hike through the forest to the magnificent Sangara Falls.

There, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings before the 30 minute walk back through Iriomote's unspoilt forests to our kayaking base camp. You will be transported to the nearby small port to take the boat to Barasu Island. There you will have 45 - 60 minutes to go snorkeling, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful views. Barasu Island is a small island formed entirely from dead coral. It has an abundance of sea life living and feeding close by.

    NOTES:

Bring a set of your clothes and towels.

Put on your swimsuits under your clothes.

This tour require a basic swimming skill. People who can swim 25 meters with snorkeling can join the tour.
