Khor Virap, Noravank Monastery and Areni Winery.
During the tour you will have the opportunity to have a magnificent view to Biblical Mount Ararat. Discover the history of Noravank and taste Armenian wine in Wine factory.
The first place will be Khor Virap, which is around an hour drive from Yerevan. It offers an amazing view to Mount Ararat and Sis. You can take beautiful pictures from the closest point to the Mount Ararat from Armenia. Khor Virap's notability as a monastery and pilgrimage site is attributed to the fact that Gregory the Illuminator was initially imprisoned here for 13 years by King Tiridates III of Armenia.
Then we will continue our way to Noravank Monastery. In Noravank we will visit the churches of St. Karapet, St. Grigory the Illuminator, and St. Astvatsatsin.
After lunch we will continue our way to Areni Winery, where you can see the Armenian wine production and also taste it. Later we will return to Yerevan
