Learn about Shintoism, Buddhism and Geisha culture in the Kitano area of Kyoto
Although it is close to the famous temples such as Kinkaku-ji Temple and Ryoan-ji Temple, the Kitano area, located in the northwest of the central Kyoto, is a lesser known area and the quiet townscape remains full of culture and history.
You will visit and explore three places and learn about Shintoism, Buddhism and Geisha culture which a lot of tourists from overseas are keen to know about. Our fun and engaging tour gives you a deeper understanding of how Shintoism and Buddhism have existed and related within our lives.
You will also see the mysterious life of Maiko and Geisha (we call them Geiko in Kyoto)
You might be able to see a Maiko (apprentice of a Gesha) in Kimono if you are lucky! We look forward to meeting you soon in Kyoto!!
