Learn about the history and modern day culture of textiles in Guatemala. On the tour, you'll visit the nearby pueblo of San Antonio Aguas Calientes, famous for its high quality textiles. We'll stop at a textile museum, a local weaving cooperative, and a local artisan market, before returning to Antigua to shop around the city's best textile stores. You'll see textiles being made, learn about trajes típicos - traditional dress, and meet local artisans. During the tour you'll have the opportunity to speak with and buy your own textiles directly from the artisans that made them.
