During the excursion you will get acquainted with the history of Khamovniki settlement, which is closely connected with the Russian literature.
The country estate is the complex of the memorial buildings with the surrounded territory (the yard and the garden) with the total area of 9,340 sq.m. Leo Tolstoy bought this Country Estate in July 1882. In October 1882 the writer’s family moved to Khamovniki Estate and lived there during the winter seasons until spring 1901.
