Overview

In this exploration of Tito's Socialist Yugoslavia, which Slovenia was a part of, communist gems come to life, including typical architecture, Coca Cola's communist factories, socialist punk music and Luka Don-i-'s basketball predecessors. Comparing the Communist past and Capitalist present, the tour shows the influence of communism and workers’ self-management on today’s life in Slovenia. It showcases amazing examples of Yugo-nostalgia, cult of personality, brutalist architecture, the "spomenik" monuments, attitude towards religion, censorship and the secret police jail. Yugoslavia’s type of Communism was unique in the world, and this tour tries to do it justice.
