Overview

Would you like to know more about the times when punk rockers were beaten up and imprisoned by the Communist authorities, on the one hand, and getting signed to state-controlled record labels, on the other- The 1970s and 1980s punk music from Slovenia was, and still is, amazing! It was very unique in the Communist East. And it's still very unique in the whole world! ‘Children of Socialism’, 'Via Ofenziva', ‘Ljubljana Dogs’, 'Ciao Bitches!', ‘Bastards’, ‘Berlin Wall’, and ‘Niet’ - these are just a few names of the bands that were turning an alternative music scene into an opposition movement. This walking tours takes you to the Johnny Rotten Square, Revolutions Squares (yes, a couple of them!), and other cult places. Also, you can count on listening to some legendary Slovenian/Yugoslav Communist Punk, Post-Punk and New Wave songs from a portable speaker.
