The government Established this district in 2009 to focus on improving Prai Ethnic Minority group life in this area and the aims the developing this area as the others.
Saysathan is also home to the Prai ethnic minority group, one of the few areas that they live. You will be able to observe the simple and peaceful way that they live in these highlands. you will have the chance to test a 1000 year old traditional fermented tea. The tea has been called tea chewing gum and is eaten with lime juice and salt. The tea is hand made by the Prai people and you will see how they make it. The tea grown on the hillsides of the valley is the main income for the Prai people.
