What To Expect
We visit the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari, which was built for Hatshepsut after the death of her husband, Thutmose II. It is a testament to her accomplishments as a strong ruler and skillful warrior. Following that, we will move on to the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. Here, up to 63 tombs have been discovered with visitors able to access three tombs using one ticket (not including those of Tutankhamen and Seti I). Finally, we will end our tour at the Colossi of Memnon; two statues standing guard over the excavation site of Amenophis III's palace. This was damaged by an earthquake in 27BC and is said to "whistle" or "sing" at dawn.
