Memorial of Sachsenhausen (former concentration camp)

Duration

clock6 hours

Overview

Accompany our guides, certified by the Brandenburg Memorial Foundation, to the former Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

Sachsenhausen was created as a model for the concentration camps and later for the development of prison extermination systems.

In a rigorous but enjoyable way we will know the daily life of these men, from the Court of Magazine guarded by the "eye that sees everything" Tower A, to the barracks where the Jews, the most hated people by Nazi Germany, he will be imprisoned for his future extermination.

We will visit the maximum security prison, for special inmates, where we will stop to contemplate the interior of the cells where some of the prisoners suffered the persecution of the GESTAPO and the rigid control of the SS.

The reality was another, a rationalization of the system of terror applied through a caste system and the development of an extermination center called "Station Z".
