Mera Peak (6476m), situated on the edge of the famous Khumbu region dominated by the monstrous Mt. Everest (8848m), is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. It is one of the most alluring trekking peaks in Nepal as it involves a culturally arousing journey through picturesque villages and forests. Rated as an alpine PD difficulty climb, it is a physically demanding snow trek with straightforward climbing. But all the difficulty is forgotten in the awe of the spectacular views of the mighty Himalayas.
Mera Peak sits in the Mahalangur section of the Himalaya, east of the Everest. The trek combines summiting the highest trekking peak and relatively quiet Arun Valley.
