Overview

The Moscow metro was founded in 1935 and functioned as a bomb shelter during the days of the Second World war. Many pregnant women hid in Mayakovskaya station and children were even born there. Novokuznetskaya station has amazing mosaics which were made by the hand of a gifted artist in Leningrad who died of hunger during its siege. The circle line is breathtaking and many people think that it was built because Stalin suddenly dropped his coffee on the map and it gave him the idea to connect the metro lines :)

After the metro we will be pretty hungry, so we will go to one of local places to get acquainted with Russian cuisine, but don't think that this is the end. Then it is the right time to find the best souvenir for you and visit our flea-market - a real treasure of Moscow!
