Duration

Overview

The guided tour will start from the symbol of the city and that is the cathedral of San Corrado dedicated to the patron saint of the city. Built near the port in the twelfth century, it is a typical Romanesque construction with the distinction of having been built with 3 domes in axis and two bell towers clearly visible even several kilometers away in the skyline of the Adriatic coast.

The tour will continue in the historic center with a visit to the seventeenth century Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta.

A short distance, between the alleys of the historic center, you will reach the tower Passari, initially gunboat and later became a lookout tower.

The tower is majestic and compact. At the base, the walls are massive and reach a thickness of five meters that gradually decreases up to the cord, from where you climb up to the summit from which you sit at a spectacular 360 degree view.
