Moscow Archeology Museum Guided Tour

Duration

clock1 hour 30 minutes

Overview

Our world is constantly changing. What seems familiar and ordinary to us today, whether it's a phone or a car, was unimaginable more than 400 years ago! So how did people live in those days? What were their dwellings and the dishes from which they ate? What did they build and what were their tools?

Everyone who wants to know the answers to these and other equally intriguing questions is invited to the Archaeological Museum in Moscow - a museum dedicated to archaeological excavations in Moscow. The museum is located in an underground pavilion at a depth of 7 meters in the historical center of the city, directly on the site of large-scale archaeological excavations of 1993-1996.
Now the exposition consists of more than two thousand exhibits and includes items from the Paleolithic era to Modern Times, found during archaeological expeditions in Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as finds from the Mesolithic and Neolithic periods.
