Overview

    MotoGP is a world championship for motorcycle racing organized by the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) since 1949. MotoGP is the premier class of the Motorcycle Grand Prix racing series. Previously this class was known as the 500cc class or commonly called the GP500. MotoGP has about 18 (eighteen) race series, visited thirteen countries, four continents, and with television coverage around the world. Ten nationalities of the world's most 'good' racers are at the forefront of the grid, they are equipped with the latest motorcycle technology with prototype/prototype engines fielded by three manufacturers: Ducati, Yamaha and Honda.

    MotoGP has a rich history with Grand Prix events and has taken place in every corner of the world for the last 65 years. More than 2.4 million people came through the circuit gates to watch MotoGP in 2013 in Italy, England, Spain, USA and Australia.
