Overview

Beyond the Tablelands and over outback terrain, be transported 160km west of Cairns to one of Australia’s best-kept secrets, Mt Mulligan Station. A working cattle station rich in Australian and Dreamtime history, you will first be welcomed by the breathtaking 18km sandstone ridge that is Mt Mulligan. Larger than Uluru, its majestic beauty is Mother Nature at her best.
Mined for coal, panned for gold and farmed for cattle, guest experiences include ATV guided tours of the old township, historic cemetery and mine ruins, PLUS a stop at the historical Tyrconnell Mine. Built in 1876, Tyrconnell was the most famous mine at the centre of the Hodgkinson Goldfield.
Mt Mulligan Station is now home to five star, Mt Mulligan Lodge. Here, guests will enjoy lunch at the property plus access to the pool, kayaks, paddleboards and fishing equipment to cast for Australian Barramundi.
