Mount Sinai, also referred to as Mount Horeb or Gabal Musa, is a mountain in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt that may have been the site of the biblical Mount Sinai. This tour offers a bus ride to the renowned mountain on Sinai where Moses was said to have received the Ten Commandments.

What To Expect

The pickup from the hotels in Sharm El Sheikh will be around 20.50. Then, there will be a three-hour drive to Moses Mountain. Climbing up the 2285m tall mountain, guided by one of our guides, is possible via a long path with 700 steps and can take until 05:00 am for sunrise viewing. If not feeling able to climb the mountain, camel rides costing 185 le are available to get to the 700 steps. After coming down from Moses Mountain, visiting St Catherine Monastery is next before heading off for breakfast at a local restaurant in St Catherine City followed by a four-hour drive back to Sharm El Sheikh arriving around 01:30 pm - 02:00 pm.
