Come and discover the splendor of the San Severo Chapel, commissioned by Raimondo di Sangro, Sansevero Prince, which houses the marble statue of the "Veiled Christ" sculpted by the hands of the Neapolitan artist Giuseppe Sanmartino.
In the church of Santa Maria delle Anime del Purgatorio ad Arco, you will discover the superstitions of the Neapolitans who "adopted" the skulls preserved in the church with the hope of obtaining blessings for the whole family. This tradition was carried out until the 80s. In the lower church (accessible only through a guided tour) you can visit the place where the so-called "pezzentelle souls" (poor souls) were worshiped.
