New Euganean Hills Experience - Art & Wine Tour

Duration

clock6 hours 20 minutes

Overview

Located a few kilometres on south-west of Padua, the Euganean Hills are a group of hills of volcanic origin arising from the Po Valley-Veneto plain as if they were an archipelago. This tour will show you a territory rich in NATURE, HISTORY, ENOGASTRONOMY, HEALTH (natural spa area dated back to Roman age).

Meet your tour leader in front of Terme Euganee-Abano-Montegrotto train station and reach, by private minivan, the beautiful renaissance Venetian villa "Villa dei Vescovi" in the heart of Euganean hills. Built between 1535 and 1542 as a summer residence of the then bishop of Padua Francesco Pisani, visit the villa with its magnificent architecture and frescoes.

Then visit a local wine cellar where you will have a light lunch and an amazing 4-glasses local wine tasting.

After lunch you will visit the Catajo Castle, one of the most visited private Venetian villas, and its great Valsanzibio gardens.
