You’ll join one of our hosts for a jaunt out of Tokyo explore the beautiful mountainous city of Nikk, where you’ll visit sacred Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines and relics from the Edo Period. You also happen to be in a region renowned for its sake (rice wine), so after you’ve visited the iconic Toshogu Shrine, the ornate Taiyuinbyo Shrine and the Rinnoji Temple, stop at a distillery with your host and sip on some fresh sake whilst sampling the local delicacies of soba (buckwheat noodles) and yuba (tofu skin)!
Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You'll also agree on a meeting time and place.
