Extrapolating the concept of zoo and focusing on the quality of life and welfare of animals and environmental education, the Birds Zoo opened to the public in November 2017 with a new zoopark concept. The course is 1.5 km long and has an average duration of 1h30, where visitors immerse themselves in the precincts Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Fauna Africana, Pantanal and Morada das Araras. In addition to the immersion enclosures, visitors pass through the sectors of Water Birds, Emas and Emus, Birds of the World, Diverse Birds, Flamingos, Great Lake, among others. The Zoo of the Birds counts on almost 2000 birds of about 200 different species. Several species are threatened with extinction and conservation projects are developed in partnerships with universities, research centers and environmental agencies.
