Okhla Bird Sanctuary allures bird watchers from all over the world. The sanctuary is home to rare species of birds and offers a closer view of these species to every visitor.
The sanctuary hosts around 400 species of birds other than 1 lakh migratory birds during winter months. Some popular birds found in the sanctuary are White-rumped Vulture, Indian Vulture, Baikal Teal, Baer’s Pochard, Sarus Crane, Sociable Lapwing, Indian Skimmer, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Lesser Adjutant, Bristled Grassbird, Ferruginous Pochard, Black-bellied Tern and Grey-headed Fish Eagle.
