But do you know that Kecharis monastic complex is situated in Tsaghkadzor- It was founded in the 11th century and was one of the most important attractions in Medieval Armenia. Besides exploring this monastic complex you will also visit the ropeway of Tsaghkadzor, which is located on the slope of Teghenis Mount. In clear weather, it offers a breathtaking view of Mount Ararat.
To enjoy the nature of Armenia spend the morning on a tour to Lake Sevan, where the 4th century monastery of Sevanavank is waiting for you. Sevanavank was built by the Armenian Princess Mariam to honor her deceased husband in the 9th century. It is home to the most wonderful Amenaprkich cross stones (khachkar), which is one of the rarest cross tones depicting Jesus.
