In the morning you will set off from Izmir and drive to Pamukkale. This incredible place is an extraordinary and remarkable natural wonder, exclusive in the world with its captivating, shining white, petrified lime cascades. There you will witness the thermal spring water packed with calcareous salt, plunging down the mountain side which has formed this natural creation of stalactites, cataracts and basins. The thermal water has been in use since Roman times for its healing properties.

Subsequently you will visit the Roman city of Hierapolis, which lies not on earth or rock but rather on solid limestone layers constructed by limestone water that ran for centuries over this lifted level plateau. The name means "sacred city", and as per Stephanus of Byzantium the city was given this title due to the large number of temples it contained.
