Overview
Perge, the well-known city of Pamphylia region, lies 18 km east of Antalya and 2 km north of Aksu village.
Constructed during the reign of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius (161-180 AD), as designed by Zeno - a Greek architect from Aspendos - the theatre was built in the 2nd century AD.
To get to Side, one needs to turn south 3 km before Manavgat on the Antalya-Alanya highway. The exact founding date of this place is unknown; however, its name “Side” represents "pomegranate" in Anatolian language.
Situated 19 km away from Antalya, Kurunlu Waterfall has been turned into a natural park in 1991 due to its thick forestry area. The abundance of plants together with interesting water and rock formations make up an incredible natural landscape.
