The coral reefs around Ishigaki and the other Yaeyama islands are famous for their beauty and for the variety and number of fish and marine life that live there and are supported by the coral and its fellow inhabitants. In addition, there are several pathways for manta rays as they pass through the area. This tour will not only seek out the best spots to visit to see the different sorts of coral and the sub tropical fish, but also visit Phantom Island, a small coral island near Taketomi that appears and then disappears as the tide ebbs and flows. The trip will seek to catch this area at an appropriate time and you will stay here typically for 30 minutes) and you will also visit other key spots according to the season and weather conditions (snorkeling for between 40 minutes and an hour).
