Overview

There are places in Prague connected with her dark times during Nazism and Communism. I will show you some of them that I consider to be the most important.

We will visit Prague Radio building - scene of street battles in 1945 and 1968 for our freedom. You will see a spot where Jan Palach burned himself in 1969. We will go to former headquarters of Gestapo, where Czech patriots were tortured and often killed. You will learn about history of Václavské nám stí in last 100 years as the most important meeting place for all demonstrations. We will visit Národní t ída, a street, where the fall of communism in this country was decided in 1989. And we will go into a church where our soldiers, assasins of Heydrich, fought their last battle with the Waffen SS in 1942.

Learn about our history and our heroes of the recent past and see the city outside of regular tourist routes.
