Lake Bled is of tectonic glacial origin and lies at an altitude of 475 meters above sea level. It’s 2120 m long, 1380 m wide, and has an area of -1.45 km2. The lake’s deepest point is 30 m and its average annual temperature is 12 °C, reaching up to 25 ° C in July. The Carp population has been swimming in Lake Bled for ages, but in recent years the fish have been growing faster than ever. In autumn, a good number of fish can be found in excess of 30 kg. Lake Bled has one of the biggest populations of Carp that weigh over 20 kg.
