In Salinas de Janubio you can enjoy a 90-minute guided tour and discover the process of making sea salt from the cookers to the extraction in an artisanal and manual way, as it was made in the past.
It is the only salt mine in Lanzarote and the Canary Islands with more than 127 years of uninterrupted activity, passing from generation to generation.
A unique visit on foot, where you will enjoy its family history, the hydraulic layout, its mills for extracting water, its architecture and its landscape, ethnographic and environmental values.
It is a very salty excursion through the largest salt flats in the Canary Islands, visitors will enjoy a unique landscape, being a symbiosis between man, the sea and the volcanoes of Lanzarote.
