Overview

    During the training we will stop to taste the "Pasqualino", to get to know the atmosphere of the Apulian flavors of the past. Tasty refreshments and hard training are the ingredients of this cycling experience.

    We present the "Pasqualino": the sandwich with a recipe born in the sixties, of uncertain origins, with an unlikely combination of flavors. This sandwich usually consists of a rosette or turtle and is stuffed, in that order, with tuna, capers, salami and provolone. It is often prepared with the addition of giardiniera.

    In Alberobello, however, it is widely believed that this sandwich was invented by Pasquale Dell'Erba, then the owner of a delicatessen in front of which he used to meet some of his friends. It was precisely these dear friends of his who began each time to make a Pasqualino.
